Snapshots and more formal images, chiefly in the format of black & white and color negatives, taken by amateur photographer
Bob Peterson. Images depict various locations in San Francisco -- with an emphasis on San Francisco State University, North
Beach and Golden Gate Park -- and the Sierra Nevada range. The approximately 1200 negatives (NEG box 1) range from 1956 to
1992. Mounted prints and 2 photograph albums (AX box) depict scenes of San Francisco taken in the 1950s and the 1970s, and
scenes of backpacking in the Sierras from the late 1960s to the early 1980s. Contact sheets (PIC folder 1) reproduce a limited
selection of the overall range of negative rolls and are accompanied by a folder of descriptive notes for a wider selection
of negative rolls (PIC folder 2). A few images depict Palm Springs and Puerto Vallarta.
